West Ham are among the clubs monitoring Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic.

Stuttgart's Austrian international Sasa Kalajdzic has been linked with a move to West Ham

Manager David Moyes remains in the market for a versatile striker after Seb Haller was sold to Ajax in January.

Moyes has an interest in Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham and Slavia Prague’s Abdallah Sima among others but in-form Kalajdzic represents better value with Stuttgart willing to sell for around £15million.

RB Leipzig and Roma have already posted their interest in Kalajdzic who is of Serbian descent but is an Austria international.

Kalajdzic is 6ft 6ins tall, yet very mobile and technically good. He has 12 goals this season including six in his last six games. Comparisons have been drawn with Peter Crouch and former Germany international Mario Gomez though the 23-year old is keen to create his own legacy.

Moyes has created a side that attacks with pace but also wants a striker who can hold up the ball and be a threat from set pieces.

Kalajdzic was a midfielder initially who modelled himself on Nemanja Matic as a boy but was pushed further forward as he continued to grow. He has described himself as ‘between a classic number nine and a ten’.

‘I'm not a classic No.9, maybe something between a nine and a 10, something like that maybe. A nine and a half!’ He told Bundesliga.com.

Other Premier League sides have also compiled scouting reports on Kalajdzic as he continues to impress.

The Austrian international has scored 11 goals and notched four assists in 22 appearances for Stuttgart this season.

New deal on cards for Nobes

Mark Noble is set for a new contract offer over the next few weeks or early in the summer.

The captain remains very much a part of the first-team squad and we understand has no plans to pull the curtain down on his illustrious Hammers career just yet.

His current contract runs out in June and the club are preparing new one which could extend his playing career for the club up to the age of 36.

It seems likely the deal will include the usual appearances clauses although whether he gets an increase on his basic will be up for negotiation.

It means that at the end of his new deal he will been a member of the Hammers squad since 2004 and has appeared at every level for England other than full international.

He has made over 450 appearances for the club and been Hammer of the Year twice besides voted the Hammer of the decade at the end of the 2010s.
